Weekends!

Ahhhh! It is Sunday morn and I sit here with my coffee. The kids have eaten breakfast and I think are playing upstairs. I hear quiet, happy voices, rare occurance I will admit. So this is good. We have an hour till we need to leave for church. It is a beautiful blue sky day out. Nice!

Yesterday I got a lot done. I was very happy. With the last month being a blur of working the two jobs and insane kid activities the house has been neglected. Yesterday I really cleaned the kitchen and dining area. Washed floors, went through the fridge, really cleaned the counters, etc. Vaccuumed the downstairs, washed slipcovers, a lot. It felt good and I am happy to go into another insane week feeling like things are more in order. Again, props to the working Mom. You are amazing.

Only a month till Maine, we are counting down. Our first night there we are having a birthday party for all 6 kids. Since we aren't able to be together anymore since our friends moved to NC we are celebrating all the kids 2008 birthdays at once. I am ordering a cake at a grocery store up there for all of them and we'll do gifts. It will be a lot of fun. And most years I make shirts for all the kids and this year is no exception. I really need to get going and come up with something. One year was seagulls, one year was crabs. Maybe I'll go for lobsters this year being Maine and all! Or there is always Moose! And you know how much I like Moose.

Here is a link to where we are staying this year. http://www.seaidyll.com/page0/page0.html R and I are claiming the East Bedroom with the ocean view. K asked for it but nope, parents pay the bill, parents get the view.

I just heard what sounded like a whole bunch of legos come down the stairs. And laughter. Will they still be laughing when I tell them to go pick up the mess?

That looks like a nice cottage. The beach looks amazing! You have to take pictures of that sunrise from the east room!
