Our 5K is next Saturday, I can't believe it! We are picking up our babysitter at 9ish and heading over to the race. It starts and ends at the school so she'll watch them on the playground. Hopefully they'll be our cheering section as we cross that finish line! I need to get out now for my run as it is supposed to be in the 90s today. Not the best running weather!
Sterling spent the night at Tufts Animal Hospital. I had him at our vet yesterday and they referred us. He ate a bunch, I mean a bunch, of string off of a rug in the basement. Sort of pulled and it would unravel and then he ate it. He threw up numerous times and then for the sake of avoiding the gross factor I'll just say there is a bunch of rug in there that he just can't quite push out. If you know what I mean. On the X-rays his stomach is distended and they just aren't sure how much is in there. So for $800 they kept him overnight and are pushing fluids and giving him something to try and work this through. The vet at Tufts felt it was an 80-85% chance he would be able to pass this overnight. Let's hope so. It was a rough night here. C is away at a GS Sleepover and has no idea. The little ones do. If it doesn't pass the only other option is surgery to the tune of $4K and unfortunately I just don't think we'd be able to make that happen. We are waiting for them to call this morning with an update (this place is an hour away) and hoping it is a good one.

OH NO ... praying your doggie is okay.
Again, I'm so sorry.
Dasher ate some carpet that was in our garage (berber.. in front of the door like a rug). It pulled away in strings, too. I think we need to get rid of it before she does it again.
Hugs.
*hugs* It's not like you could have even done anything to prevent it. How could you predict the dog would eat a rug?!
Have fun with your run!
I'm so sorry, A.
